According to reports, the victim was approached by an individual in a silver sedan while working on his vehicle. The victim, who identified the assailant as someone he believed to be of Mexican descent, stated that the driver demanded money. When the victim refused, he was shot in the back.
A witness to the crime immediately called 911, prompting an emergency response.
