Gladstone Flag Football Program For Kids

 Co-Ed Flag Football RECREATION CONNECTION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM  

By contributing $1 or more when registering for activities, you can give your neighbors in need a helping hand. Gladstone Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts maintains a scholarship fund to help northland youth who do not have the financial means to participate in recreation programs. This program is made possible through donations from businesses and individuals throughout the northland. Scholarships are offered to interested youth and are available for designated programs offered by Gladstone Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts. The RECREATION CONNECTION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM  is 501c(3) and donations are tax deductible. 

The Gladstone Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Dept. is sponsoring a Flag Football League for kids in 2nd through 6th grades. Divisions are co-ed and will be 2nd-3rd grade & 4th-6th grade.   

Registration:  

Early Bird:   January 29 - February 4         $75/player includes a uniform t-shirt.  

Regular:   February 5 – March 1               $90/player, includes a uniform t-shirt. 

 Online registration is available at www.gladstonemo.activityreg.com or complete the attached form and return the address listed at the bottom of the registration form. Telephone registrations will not be accepted.   


Practice/Games: First couple Saturdays will be practices, in the morning.  Then other practices will take place on Monday evenings.  First practice will be Saturday, March 16th with your coach letting you know of practice time a few days before the 16th. Games will be played on Saturday mornings.  All games will take place at Happy Rock Park.  6 games guaranteed, played on Saturday mornings beginning April 6th. Information on the league will be passed out by the coaches.  Coaches: This league is dependent upon volunteer coaches. Minimal knowledge of football is helpful, but not mandatory. Anyone that works well with children is welcome. If bringing in a group of 4 or more players we ask that a parent from the group volunteers to coach.  Team Selections: Teams will be chosen by means of random selection. Children of the coach and one assistant coach will be put on the same team. Names of all other players shall be drawn randomly, with siblings being on the same team. If two (2) players from the same grade division want to “Buddy” to play on the same team, applications for both players must be submitted together.
