Four Kansas City Northland restaurant updates. And more--
KC Northland updates: Chicken Salad Chick, Mochinut, reader questions
1. Chicken Salad Chick franchisees, Kendra and Alan Greenwood, are bringing the concept to the Village at Shoal Creek, 8311 N. Booth Ave. A spring 2026 opening is scheduled. They also have the Lee’s Summit restaurant, and they plan to open in Blue Springs in mid-to-late 2026 (but they have not selected a location yet).
2. Mochinut is coming to 9201 N.E. Missouri 152. It serves mochi donuts, boba, Korean-style hot dogs, and soft-serve ice cream. No opening date was available.
3. Readers have been asking about the former Price Chopper at 4820 N. Oak Trafficway in North Oak Marketplace. Crunch Fitness plans to open there in late 2025 or early 2026. No word on how many square feet they took in the 70,335-square-foot space.
4. Wingstop, Frolics Plaza shopping center, 7107 N.W. Barry Road, is scheduled to open by fall, according to local sources. Corporate officials have not returned calls on the location.
As reported earlier this week, Chick-fil-A is coming to Metro North Crossing, and Feng Cha also wants to open in the center.
