Off the Hook BBQ Expanding with Second Location in Gladstone

Joyce KC has the update: Off the Hook BBQ, founded by Wardell Hooks Jr. in October 2021 with a Parkville location, is set to expand its footprint with a second restaurant location in Gladstone. The new establishment, slated for a mid-to-late summer opening, marks a significant milestone for Hooks' burgeoning barbecue venture. Having signed a lease for a space within Parkside Apartments at 7506 N. Oak Trafficway, Hooks is poised to bring his signature flavors to a broader audience. The decision to open a second location comes on the heels of the success of his downtown Parkville to-go window, which quickly garnered a loyal following. The new restaurant will offer seating for over 55 patrons in the dining room, along with a well-equipped bar, spacious patio, and a dedicated to-go area, ensuring a seamless dining experience for customers on the move.

In a move that has foodies across Kansas City clucking with excitement, cult favorite restaurant Go Chicken Go has announced that it will be opening a new 6th location in the Northland, next to the new Whataburger off Barry Rd and I-169 with a tentative opening planned for in January 2024. There are also plans for a location at Vivion Rd and North Oak Trafficway.
