No Injuries Reported GLADSTONE — A late-morning fire swept through part of the Northland Studio Apartments on NE 68th Street Tuesday, sending plumes of smoke visible from the nearby Hy‑Vee but causing no injuries, according to officials. The blaze began shortly before 11 a.m. while most residents were away at work. Fire crews with the Gladstone Fire Department arrived quickly and worked for nearly two hours to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring units. By 1 p.m., firefighters had the scene under control. Damage assessments are underway, and officials have not yet released information on the cause of the fire. Residents began returning to the complex early Tuesday afternoon to check on their units.
