Update: Body Discovered Near Maple Woods College was a person who was unconscious due to a drug overdose. He is now recovering in a facility. Gladstone, MO – June 7, 2025 Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered early Thursday morning near Maple Woods College in Gladstone, Missouri. According to preliminary reports, the body of an unidentified person was found near Maple Woods Road between Highway 152 and the nearby three-way intersection on Barry Road. Police have yet to provide any information on the person's identity. The incident was first reported around 6:15 a.m. on June 6, 2025, and police remained on the scene for several hours as investigators processed the area. A local woman and her mother, who were returning from Walmart, witnessed a large police presence in the area as they drove past the scene.
