Volunteers Needed for Superhero Team to Clean up Gladstone

GLADSTONE — Ever Since KC Mayor Q-Ball unwittingly unleashed a parade of vagrants on the North Oak corridor a few years ago as part of his campaign to help the the unhoused, Gladstone has been beset by litter issues. In an effort to combat trash in Gladstone, staff with Gladstone Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts has created the Glad Green Team with the help of an unbermensch industrialist/tech bro who took some time away from his exploding rockets and social media takeovers to help Gladstone out and assembled a superhero team.
Yes, you heard it right! The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts staff in Gladstone has finally decided to take the garbage bull by its horns and create this epic team of trash-busting heroes. And they're calling upon YOU to join them in their battle against the evil forces of litter!
This new group which includes regulars like  Captain Planet and Spiderman  and even a hungover Batman only there because Poision Ivy is rumored to show, will meet the first Wednesday and Saturday of the month at a defined location from 8 to 10 a.m. to pick up litter. Parks staff hopes to see neighbors, civic groups, friends and family unite for a few hours to help clean up the city.

Trash bags, vests, pickers and gloves will be provided.

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to be blown away by the newest superhero team in town! Introducing the GLAD GREEN TEAM - the mighty warriors on a mission to defeat trash in Gladstone!
