!Go Chicken Go! New KC North Location!

In a move that has foodies across Kansas City clucking with excitement, cult favorite restaurant Go Chicken Go has announced that it will be opening a new 6th location in the Northland, next to the new Whataburger off Barry Rd and I-169 with a tentative opening planned for in January 2024. There are also plans for a location at Vivion Rd and North Oak Trafficway.

Hayes Hamburgers: A Slice of Nostalgia Struggling to Stay Open

Kansas City, MO — For nearly 70 years, Hayes Hamburgers at Antioch and Vivion Rd has been a blast of Kansas City past, serving up crisp burgers and nostalgia in equal measure, right down to it's refusal to get with the times and accept Plastic, operating as a cash-only business. Opened in 1955, this classic diner was once a beacon for late-night cravings, its neon sign glowing 24/7 over bustling counters and sizzling grills. But the era of round-the-clock service is now a fond memory, as the beloved eatery struggles to stay afloat amidst staffing shortages and an uncertain future. Like many small businesses, Hayes was hit hard by the pandemic. Once renowned for its reliability, the diner’s hours have become erratic. With only three employees on staff, day shifts are a scramble, and the once-vital overnight hours have been abandoned altogether. Despite this it is still a bargain, their sliders are only $2.10. Regulars are often greeted by locked doors and handwri...

PatricK Mahomes opens What-a-Burger in the Northland

Whataburger, the beloved Texas-based fast-food chain, is officially opened it's doors on Barry Road in the northland Kansas City. This marks the third Whataburger location in the Kansas City area, and fans of the restaurant couldn't be more excited. Kansas City Chief's Quarterback Patrick Mahomes owns the franchise for the Northland location. The new location, situated at 600 Barry Road, opened on January 19th and will feature the restaurant's signature menu items, including their famous burgers and milkshakes. The restaurant will also offer a drive-thru service for customers on the go. Whataburger, which was founded in 1950, has become known for its unique and delicious burgers, as well as its friendly customer service. The restaurant's menu includes a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides, as well as breakfast items. One of their most popular items is the Whataburger, a 1/2 lb beef patty served on a five-inch bun. Customers can also customize...

Homeless Camps in the Northland: A Paradise for Urban Adventurers

Liberty, MO—Nestled charmingly behind the bustling shopping hubs and cozy apartment complexes lie two of Kansas City’s most sought-after residential locations—Homeless Camp #1 and Homeless Camp #2, where the city's vibrant and diverse homeless community have set up their abodes. Conveniently located on the Kansas city side of I-35 near Liberty, MO, these camps offer breathtaking views of the interstate, providing a soothing soundtrack of endless traffic. Homeless Camp #1, strategically positioned behind and north of Target, boasts NE Flintlock Road as its main border, offering easy access to retail therapy for those needing a quick pick-me-up after a long day of dumpster diving. But wait, there’s more! Homeless Camp #2, south of Sam’s Club and White Oak Apartments, is a hidden gem with NE Flintlock Road as its western boundary. It’s a prime spot for those who enjoy a sense of community and the occasional midnight serenade of car alarms. Residents of nearby apartments are thrilled a...

My Gladstone is Gladstone's best satire site, totally inerrant in all its truth claims. Cleaved from its parent rock over a million years ago, this lil happy rock floated down the Missouri where it landed in Clay county in 1950. However, It must be said that this blog contains minor inaccuracies. We need to fire the A. I. bot we hired to write for us, he's been making too many lil mistakes lately, so sorry 😔. Alas this blog barely survives with next to no income , thereby preventing us from hiring an actual human so we are going to have to put up with our bot's irritating inaccuracies. On to our Privacy Disclosures.
